Attractions Near Las Vegas Convention Center

Most convention goers don’t have time to learn mass transit nor do they wish to rent a car. Therefore, all the hotels on the Las Vegas strip offer either shuttle service to the convention center or are in walking distance. If travel to or from a restaurant is needed to get to the convention center, rest assured that there is always a taxi cab waiting and ready to serve. Don’t forget to check out the Las Vegas Monorail! This rail line will take travelers to most major casino/hotel on the strip and also stops right by the convention center.

Each casino holds its own attractions. Everything from indoor amusement parks, art galleries, the world famous wax museum and an endless variety of live performance options are all within the immediate vicinity of the convention center. A must see is any Cirque du Soleil show, the Adventuredome of Circus Circus and the always cool/vintage Liberace Museum. In Addition, there are several free performances throughout the day at various hotels. Some of these attractions even offer discounts for convention center goers.

The convention center has the best of both worlds when it comes to dining options. There is, of course, many options that cater to those who wish to dine in luxury and world class cuisine. There are also many quick grab bites and medium priced sit down restaurants. Major chain restaurants mix with individually owned cafes and eateries that are all within walking distance or a quick cab ride away.

Las Vegas is possibly the only city where the airport is located so closely to the city center and the convention center. For travelers to Las Vegas, the longest time they will have to spend in a taxi is about 10 minutes maximum. That is unless one travels out to the beautiful surrounding mountains to get away from it all. Other than that, the airport is minutes away from all casinos, hotels and the convention center.

Las Vegas is located in the heart of the beautiful and breathtaking Mojave Desert. The land around the Vegas valley is brimming with vibrant colors, bold mountains and dozens of hiking trails. Straight down Sahara Avenue, headed west, one will run right into Red Rock Mountains. This is a national park that costs a few dollars to get in but is worth every penny.
