Old Market (1.0 mi.) - The area known as Omaha's Arts and Entertainment District is a nearby destination that appeals to visitors and locals alike. Old Market is home to four museums, including Joslyn Art Museum and Omaha Children's Museum. Art galleries and performing arts venues are also part of the area's cultural attractions. Pubs and taverns, live musical entertainment, and several restaurants that include everything from fine dining to coffee houses, make this a hub of activity well into the night. Shopping options include browsing antique and bookstores, clothing and jewelry retail stores, and a variety of specialty food shops. This is a pedestrian-friendly destination that also offers transportation options including carriages, a trolley and bike rentals.

Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge (2.3 mi.) - The bridge is the longest of its kind, linking Omaha with the neighboring city of Council Bluffs, IA. Visitors not only have a spectacular view of the Missouri River, standing 60 feet above the water line, but the 3,000 ft. long bridge connects to miles and miles of walking and biking trails on both sides. At night, the bridge's cables, pylons and deck are outlined with lights, transforming it into a glowing landmark.

Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo (2.7 mi.) - The zoo is a great way to spend the day with family and friends. Nationally renowned for its leadership in research and animal conservation, it is home to several notable exhibits, and features the largest big cat complex in North America. Other popular exhibits include the indoor rain forests and deserts, an indoor swamp, and the largest nocturnal exhibit in the world. Rides include an aerial tram, carousel, and a train. Food and drink concessions are available throughout the zoo compound; however, outside food and beverages (not packaged in breakable containers) are allowed to be brought in by visitors.

Benson Park Championship Golf Course (7.2 mi.) - One of several pubic golf courses in the Omaha area, Benson Park is an 18-hole, Par 72 course that is open seven days a week, dawn till dusk. Facilities include a putting green, pro shop, lessons and a snack bar.
